Built from the Road. Engineered for the Future.

Most battery startups begin with a slide deck. We began with a real problem.

Second Ride, our parent company, set out to electrify iconic vintage motorcycles. Building our own drivetrains from scratch forced us to confront what every hardware company eventually discovers: the battery industry is broken. Packs are welded shut, impossible to repair, and destined for the shredder the moment a single cell fails. We refused to accept that. So we invented a better way.

MAKI Batteries is the result. A patented force-fit cell contacting technology that makes battery packs fully disassemblable and repairable, cell by cell, without welding, without specialized machinery, without waste. It reduces total cost of ownership for OEMs by up to 75%. One patent has been granted, a second is pending. UN38.3 and ECE R10 certified. TUM Venture Labs incubated. First LOI signed within eight weeks of launch, covering production volumes in the millions.

We develop, manufacture, and license battery technology for e-mobility, industrial robotics, and stationary energy storage. Three industries. One platform. A combined addressable market exceeding €110 billion.

What gives us an edge no pure-play battery startup can claim: we are battle-tested manufacturers. Second Ride has shipped over 1,000 conversion kits, crossed €1 million in annual revenue, and is now internationalizing with the MID50, a universal kit compatible with half of all mopeds worldwide. That operational backbone funds MAKI's R&D and keeps us grounded in the realities of real-world production.

Germany needs innovation champions. We intend to be one.
